World Cancer Day: World Retinoblastoma Awareness
In honor of World Cancer Day, Dr. Finger has created and presented an informational video about Retinoblastoma treatment around the world, and what needs to be improved to maximize on care for eye cancer patients.
Retinoblastoma is global! Eyes and lives can be saved if we treat these children in time.
However, obstacles like lack of awareness, financial instability, lack of specialty care as well as and different social beliefs around the world, can delay treatment resulting in loss of sight and fatal metastasis.
In a new video conducted by Dr. Paul Finger, he explains the impact of delayed diagnosis and what needs to be changed to save both sight and life.
"Today is the day set aside for awareness of “World Cancer”. The most common primary eye cancer in children is Retinoblastoma. Let’s take a few minutes to learn about this cancer, how it is curable and what we can do about it! Thank you for your attention."
