Patient Support
Thousands of people are diagnosed with eye cancer every year — we share their stories, their struggles, and their victories. Eye cancer is a rare disease, which may lead patients to feel isolated and fearful upon receiving their diagnosis. We have made it our mission to curate online forums, collect book recommendations and other resources for people with eye cancer, so that patients are equipped with the tools necessary to make their journey bearable.
Online Forums
Are you an eye cancer patient looking to speak with others who have been in your shoes? Are you a family member of an eye cancer patient? The Eye Cancer Foundation has created two Facebook forums where patients can speak to their shared experiences —learning from each other and providing comfort for one another.
The Eye Cancer Foundation was the first of its kind to curate an online message board for patients. Our message board originally stood on our website, comprised of more than 13.000 messages from hundreds of patients and their families. The message board has since been archived and transformed into two Facebook groups with thousands of members. In addition to our online forums, we have an extensive list of book recommendations to help you navigate your journey. Click here to visit the list. Also check out EyeMelanoma.org for more support! |
