Squamous Carcinoma of the Conjunctiva Surgery Versus Chemotherapy Eye Drops
Feb. 12, 2021: Most patients with AJCC T1 and T2-sized ocular surface squamous carcinoma can be treated without surgery. At The New York Eye Cancer Center, I have been gradually eliminating the need for expense and invasive excision and cryotherapy surgeries. As long as the tumor does not invade the eye or orbit, either monotherapy (interferon, 5-FU) or sequential poly pharmacy treatment has cured most patients. Herein, Dr. Chaugule-Yadav describes our experience.
