Biography
Raffaele Parrozzani was born in 1980 in Montebelluna, Treviso, Italy. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery (2005) and performed his residency in Ophthalmology from 2006 to 2010 at the University of Padova. In 2010 he became Fellow of The European Board of Ophthalmology. In 2013 he obtained a PhD in Oncology and Surgical Oncology. In 2018 he obtained the National Scientific Qualification of Professor of Ophthalmology. He is an Editorial Board Member of "Cells"(ISSN 2073-4409) and "Pathophysiology"(ISSN 1873-149X). He is an active member of: International Society of Ocular Oncology (ISOO), European Ophthalmic Oncology Group (OOG), Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER), Società Oftalmologica Italiana (SOI) e Società Italiana della Retina (SIR). He is an elected member of the Club Jules Gonin. From 2010 to 2016 his research in ocular oncology was also conducted for the G.B. Bietti Foundation (Ocular Oncology and Toxicology Research Unit). He is currently working at the Department of Neuroscience-Ophthalmology of the University of Padova. He is assistant professor in the Ophthalmology Residency Program and in the in the Orthoptic School of the University of Padova. His primary fields of interest include basic and clinical research in ocular and orbital oncology and medical retina.
