Biography
Dr Mulay had his basic medical education at the K.I.M.S, Karad. He received post-graduate training in Pathology, followed by senior residency in Anatomical Pathology and Cytology at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.
Dr Mulay further trained in Oncopathology at Bangalore Institute of Oncology, Bangalore and later in Ophthalmic Pathology at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. He currently heads the Department of Ophthalmic Pathology at the National Reporting Centre for Ophthalmic Pathology, Centre for Sight, Hyderabad.
Dr. Mulay’s current research interests comprise of ocular adnexal lymphoproliferative lesions, lacrimal gland tumors, IgG4-related disease, sebaceous gland carcinoma and tumors of the orbit. He has published in several peer-reviewed journals and has many presentations/posters to his credit, both, national and international.
Some of the major awards and honors to his credit include the G.Subbalaxmi Gold medal for young scientist and several best paper awards at the AIOS and IAPM meetings.
