May 10, 2024: Dr. Paola Ordoñez of Ecuador just completed her ECF Fellowship under our Scientific Board member and training doctor, Dr. Alberto Calle Vásquez! She trained at the Calle Ophthalmic & Orbit Oncology Center and excelled due to her dedication, vast interest in ocular oncology, and care of patients. During her training, she learned best practices in techniques such as ocular oncology, cornea and anterior segment, glaucoma and orbital tumors.

Dr. Paola Ordoñez Armijos says this about CLEMI: "I want to say thank the ECF for the opportunity you gave us. Doing hands-on surgical training in CLEMI was an experience that was very fruitful. We practiced numerous procedures including eyelid reconstruction, orbital approaches, and enucleation. I strongly believe this kind of training is very helpful in recognizing anatomy and developing surgical skills. I sincerely appreciate the effort the ECF constantly puts forward to support us as Ocular Oncologist in training. That effort will be reflected in the quality of care for our patients." |

The Eye Cancer Foundation is proud to support Dr. Paola Ordoñez as she starts treating patients in her home facility in Ecuador.
