Biography
Dr Limbu is fulltime Cataract and Oculoplastic Surgeon at Tilganga Institute Of Ophthalmology since 2012. Moreover, his expertise includes reconstructive and cosmetic eyelid surgery, treatment of eyelid/orbital tumors and inflammations (such as thyroid eye disease) and treatment for traumatic lacerations and fractures.
He completed medical school as first batch graduates from Kathmandu Medical College in 2002 and completed residency training at National Academy of medical Sciences, Nepal by 2009. Further he did Oculplastic and reconstructive fellowship fromMoran Eye Center, Utah (USA)/Tilganga Institute Of Ophthalmology under highly trained and most competent oculoplastic and facial surgeons in 2012. By the end of my two years as a hospital chief at Hetauda Community Eye Hospital, he knew that he wanted to become an oculoplastic surgeon. HIs current other position includes Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at National Academy of Medical Sciences and Medical Director at Global Eye Centre.
Dr Limbu says, "Coming to understand each patient’s situation is always my primary concern. First, and most importantly, every patient is different, in my perception. Finding out how these afflictions affect my patients and their quality of life is the art and challenge to providing great oculoplastic care for each individual. And that’s what I most enjoy.”
Dr Limbu have special interest in lacrimal drainage, eyelid/intraocular/orbital tumour and aesthetic eye surgery.
