Nancy - you should check out the "Links" section of this site (look in yellow bar down the left of the Home page), for starters - some of those links may also have other links to assistance organizations, plus check the financial assistance offices of the colleges she might want to attend. Her story is unusual enough that an alumna or alumnae group might be interested to help - there are all sorts of programs, plus check out state programs. You might also find this site helpful: www.thesamfund.org It was founded recently by the daughter of a friend. She survived both bone cancer and a pre-leukemic condition in her late teens/early twenties (she is now in her mid-twenties, and a college graduate). It is a charity to financially assist young adult (17-35) survivors of cancer (SAMFund stands for Surviving and Moving Forward). As the fund/group has grown, they have "formed relationships with many well-known cancer-related organizations" and have "reached thousands of young adult survivors, caregivers, friends and families". Hope this helps - Carol
