Happy Holidays from The Eye Cancer Foundation!

As friends and family come together, and as holidays round out the season, the end of a year is often a time for reflection. Whether you watched this year’s New Year’s Eve ball drop in Times Square, whether you slammed that screaming snooze button on January 1, 2017 at 12 AM … what made this year memorable for you, our reader? Among the ebb and flow of minutes into hours, and hours into days, what stands out to you the most?

At The Eye Cancer Foundation, 2017 marks an incredible year in our history. We started off planning and anticipating The Second Eye Cancer Working Day held in March and a follow-up dinner meeting in November, both of which were met with immediate success! Our continued partnership with The International Council of Ophthalmology has funded fellowship training for doctors from India, Bangladesh, Bolivia, and more, which every day brings us closer to the completion of our 2020 Campaign. This year has also seen the beginning of The NYECC Support Group, sponsored by The Eye Cancer Foundation, as part of our always-ongoing effort to support patients emotionally and medically at every stage of their care.

None of these accomplishments could have been completed without the support of our members, supporters, and donors. Every cent, every well-wish, has championed our progress towards the developing field of eye cancer research and care. This progress is indeed a reflection of your support The ECF, and we are proud to witness our accomplishments alongside with you!

So, from all of us at The Eye Cancer Foundation, we would like to thank you for following our efforts throughout this year and wish you, your family, and your friends a happily holiday season.

But remember, hope never takes a vacation! Our goals do not end when the year does. We’ll see you in 2018 with more projects, more news, and more research that will always work towards our goal in saving sight and saving lives ®.
