Director of Development

The Eye Cancer Foundation, Inc.

The Eye Cancer Foundation http://eyecancercure.com is an emerging public charity that has a mission of finding cures and sight-saving treatments for all forms of pediatric and adult eye cancers. We support research, education and world-wide cooperation for the benefit of patients with eye cancer. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to build and develop a similar organization.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Development of organizational structure
• Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors and supporters especially individual donors.
• Research, seek out and complete foundation funding opportunities
• Project development
• Represent the foundation at medical, corporate, social and civic functions
• Development and implementation of public relations and marketing plan
• Maintain oversight over all fundraising activities including major giving, grants, special events, direct mail appeals, corporate partnership initiatives.
• Work with the Board of Directors, including the Board fundraising committee, in development-related projects
• Written reports, newsletters, grant proposals

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree Preferred

Preferred Skills:
• Marketing
• Fundraising
• Experience working with Board of Directors
• Knowledge of budgets

Eye Cancer Foundation Sponsored Fellowships

The Eye Cancer Foundation has funding for 25, 6-month RB fellowships in ophthalmic oncology. The candidates must be from unserved or underserved countries. Each candidate must have completed a residency in ophthalmology, obtain a letter of recommendation from their residency Chair and head of their current hospital. They will be expected to return to their origin country to start or participate in an eye cancer service. The Eye Cancer Foundation is interested in reducing mortality related to retinoblastoma.

Associate Specialist in Ophthalmic Oncology

The New York Eye Cancer Center

The candidate should be able to treat patients with ocular tumors of the eye, lids and orbit. They must have at least one years subspecialty training, be licensed to practice in the United States of America and be willing to start on or before July 1st, 2019.
